The Malaysian government has assured that fees in institutes of higher learning (IPTA) will not be increased.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said that they will subsidise 90% of the cost of tuition fees and maintain the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), a government body that covers the cost of student’s fees and living expenses.
