Another 1,246 Form Six and Matriculation students with a CGPA of 2.8 and above were offered places in IPTA.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
According to him, the offer letter will be released in the mid of August and those who accepted them may register on the 1st and 2nd of September.
"All of them are guaranteed places in IPTA as long as they do not choose what field to study in as the offered depends on the empty slots we have," he said.
