Rules to ensure a quality pharmacy degree

  • Syllabus in the first two years of the Degree in Pharmacy programme which is comprised of technical subjects such as Pharmacotherapy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Advanced Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Clinical Pharmacy and Toxicology are not to be missed if one seeks to cope in their third and final year.
  • These two years of programmes are not covered during diploma and they are important to produce qualified and trained pharmacy assistants.
  • There are no changes in the Guidelines on the Approval and Recognition of the Pharmacy Degree Programme enforced in 2007 and the requirements remain stringent.
  • The minimum entry requirement for Diploma of Science is a CGPA of 3.8 and there will be no credit transfer allowed for diploma holders pursuing the degree.
