The Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) is a private college situated in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. The Institute specialises in computer and information technology programmes and was first established to address the critical shortage of IT professionals in Malaysia. APIIT began operations in 1993 and became a successful regional institute with operations and centres in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India and Australia.
APIIT has 4 campuses in Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India and collaborates with 20 reputable universities in the United Kingdom and Australia such as the University of Portsmouth and the Charles Sturt University. APIIT has fully equipped facilities ranging from discussion rooms, the library to computer and multimedia laboratories to provide students a dynamic setting for research and studies. Students are provided with counselling services, university transfer assistance, job placement services and financial and scholarship assistance as well to facilitate their stay at APIIT.
APIIT offers foundation, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. It’s diploma programmes include Information & Communication Technology, Information & Communication Technology with a specialisation in Software Engineering, Business with Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting and, Electrical & Electronic Engineering. For undergraduate programmes, APIIT has three schools: School of Computing Technology which offers computing and IT programmes and interactive entertainment technology programmes; School of Business Management offering business management and accounting and finance programmes; and School of Engineering which offers programmes in engineering. Postgradute programmes on offer focus on business and computing and IT development.
