The Master of Information Systems (MIS) is designed to cater to graduates from IT backgrounds and non IT backgrounds. Talented people with advanced knowledge about managing information systems are a scarce resource. It is the objective of the MIS programme to fill this gap by providing the needed education. Students graduating from the MIS programme should be prepared to provide leadership in the Information Systems field.Graduates will have the following skills, knowledge, and values:Core knowledge of IS management and technologyIntegration of IS and business foundationsBroad business and real world perspectiveCommunication, interpersonal, and team skillsAnalytical and critical thinking skillsSpecific skills leading to a career
Admission Requirements
a.A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA 2.75; OR b.A Bachelor’s Degree not meeting CGPA 2.75 but above 2.50, may apply to the programme pending internal assessment by the faculty; or c.A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent with CGPA less than 2.50, with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a relevant field may be accepted d.For candidates without computing degree, prerequisite modules in computing must be offered to adequately prepare them for their advanced study
