The German A-Level Preparatory Programme was established in 2001 with an aim to increase enrolment at tertiary level particularly in engineering courses. The Federal Republic of Germany is one of the major industrial countries that offers the best engineering education and that promotes lifelong learning in their education system. The highly skilled and motivated engineering workforce has propelled Germany to its present position among the world’s leading industrial nation.Students enrolled in this programme will have to undergo a 20-month preparatory programme at the German-Malaysian Institute. Qualified students will later be given the opportunity to study at the University of Applied Sciences or Fachhochschule in Germany.UAS is a higher institution with degrees that offer greater practical-focused and application-based courses and produces qualified graduates with excellent academic background. UAS professors and lecturers generally have practical career experience in addition to their academic qualities that sustain the quality of education and training.
