Advertising executives usually find work in advertising agencies and in in-house promotion departments in any industry. Jobs for advertising and promotions especially in the mangerial level are highly coveted and therefore competition will be fierce. The best opportunities will go to university graduates with strong communication and computer skills, creativity and related experience.

Education

Advertising jobs generally require a bachelor’s degree in business administration, advertising, communications, public relations, psychology, English, and other communications-related fields. Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Powerpoint, word and excel is also required, and familiarity with Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite will be an advantage.
